Because of the characteristics of Internet such as anonymity and publicity, e-commerce makes it possible for more and more people to be involved deeply in commercial activities in cyberspace. At the same time, it also puts forward a new security requirement: how to fight fraud and prevent exchange activities from the bargainer's misbehavior? The FIDES project (Fair Integrated Data Exchange Services), with British government's financial support, is focused on fair and non-repudiation data exchange research of business process in e-commerce, in order to achieve security, fairness and non-repudiation. Based on the three elementary business models such as e-shopping, contract signing and receipt for e-goods, the aim of this project is to design, implement and deploy the middleware components such as secure exchange component and user authentication and access control component, which accord with J2EE and CORBA architecture. And the algorithm design and optimization of fair exchange protocol play key roles in the project research. As a developer in the project research team, The author make full use of the advantages of the mechanism of certificate verification: easy to implement, authorized, separate from the exchange phase, and etc., then improve more on the original algorithm, and finally the new document exchange protocol conies into being, which is proposed to replace the original in the project report of the new version. The main contributions of the paper are threefold. First, the author makes some obvious improvements on algorithm implementation for protocol design, which has distinct advantages over the original fair document exchange protocol with aspects of security and applicability. Secondly, the integrated protocol implementation is accomplished in detail based on Java 2 platform (take the document exchange protocol as an example) . Thirdly, during the process of the protocol implementation, the paper also puts the emphases on considering the multiple achievements of message queues and relative comparison on working function, which provide the secure and stable mechanisms for the protocol applications. At the end of the paper, the author briefly analyzes the application foreground and the research objectives of the project in the following phase.
