The Research On Fair Exchange

With the rapidly development of information technology today, more and more attention has been paid to e-commerce. It is very urgent for the scientists to design fast and secure fair exchange protocols because fair exchange is the basis of e-commerce. In this paper, we address the problem of fair exchange in e-commerce. Our contributions are as follows:1. Give a summary of the main definitions and results regarding fair exchange of the twenty years after its invention.2. Describe a general model for the fair exchange, and its main properties.3. Analysis the most import class of fair exchange protocol– optimistic fair exchange protocol.4. We propose a new fair document exchange protocol based on bilinear paring. Compared with previous fair exchange protocols, our protocol holds confidentiality, that is, except the two participating party, no one even the trusted third party (TTP) can get exchanged items.Finally, we give some open questions of the fair exchange and prospect the further research focus of fair exchange.
