Because of the development of the Internet, the communication and Artificial Intelligence technology, the territory of software Agents changes from the local area network to the Internet. Thus giving Agents an assistant system to help them to execute their activities more effective, easy and out of failure becomes a very importand research topic.Under such background, the paper introduces an Agent Assistant System whichi is based on Agent Based Framework for Software Composition (ABFSC). And we mainly discuss the description, advertisement, classification, save and matchmaking of the Agent Capability and Request. We also discuss the effect and development of the Middle Agent Union in the system.ABFSC regards an application system as a container of the software components, whose architecture includes the layout of the collaboration, the configuration of the software components and the functions and statuses of software components in the implementation of the application system,in which, the software Agents,Agent skills and common components are respectively abstracted as the top-level,mid-level and bottom-level software components. ABFSC divides the container into two levels:Agents collaboration and skill composition;in detail, the former orients the top organization of the integrated application system, and the latter orients the bottom organization of the system.OKRL is the description language of ABFSC and the Assistant System under it. It gives elaborating, effective and accurate descriptions of the syetem. The exchange of internal format and XML based external format helps us to send messages in external format and deal with them effective in internal format. And we can choose to change them into different internal format when we need. The effective sending and receiving modules are important parts of the system. The Middle Agent Union is the core of the system. By using efficient matchmaking algorithm, the Middle Agent Union can easily find appropriate service providers and send the information of them back to the requestor. And the Classification System and Multi-filters gives reliable supports to find appropriate service providers from large quantities of information. The paper contains seven chapters:the first chapter introduces the research areas of the Assistant System for Agents. The second introduces the details of our framework:ABFSC. In the third chapter, the description of the skills and request is introduced. They are the ORKL language;the internal format and XML based external format and the exchange between them. The forth introduces the sending and receiving modules. The next chapter is about the Middle Agent Union, including the saving format of the information, the matchmaking and the classification. The sixth chapter gives a example of this system. The last chapter of the paper gives the conclusion and prospect of the future research work.
