The Study, Based On Catia Prototype Technology And Engineering Applications

Traditional design can not fully meet the severe competition of market because it causes product development time delays and design cost increases for the Physical Mock-Up(PMU) check. However, enterprise is able to achieve the goal of product quality improvement, reduction of design cost and dramatic reduction of the development time by the application of Digital Mock-Up(DMU) technology. From the view point of engineering application , this paper emphasizes on studying those technical aspects of DMU digital definition, DMU data management and its engineering application in conjunction with the implementary process of DMU in our new helicopter development.
