With the development of the several key technologies-computer science,VLSI and electronics,Wireless communication has been developing fast in recent years.The services it provided change from simple voice communication , slow data rate data communication to high speed multimedia communication. During several wireless access technology on the present, wireless LAN has been a hot topic due to its good performance to provide high speed data communication.Among the high-speed WLAN technologies, HiperLAN/2 is the one with the best performace. It supports QoS and up to 54Mbps data rate, which are two foundations of multimedia communication.At first, this thesis gives an disscussion of the present wireless communication technologies. It then introduces the principle of general wireless data link protocol and that of HiperLAN/2 data link control protocol .At last, it does a research on how to implement the HiperLAN/2 DLC protocol in an embedded system.In the first chapter, we discuss and introduce several important wideband wireless access technologies and then the several key technogies in the development of wireless communication, which include multi-carrier modulation, adaptive technologys, multi-user detection, diversity, security and media access control technology. At the last of this chapter, we point out the major distribution of this thesis.In the second chapter, the principle of general wireless data link control protocol is discussed. It includes the discussion of wireless media access control protocol, wireless error control protocol and mobility management.In the third chapter, we disscuss the data link control protocol of HiperLAN/2,which includes MAC protocol, RLC protocol and EC protocol.In the fourth chapter, we first disscuss process and method of the development of VxWorks based embedded systems. Then we implemented the HiperLAN/2 DLC protocol in embedded systems. |
