Wds Micro-power Scan Imaging Logging Tool Data Acquisition And Data Imaging Methods Improve | Posted on:2003-11-03 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | Country:China | Candidate:Y H Jiang | Full Text:PDF | GTID:2208360092466190 | Subject:Computer technology and applications | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | With the increasing requirement of complex formation and thin bed exploration, the imaging logging is emerging as a main downhole logging technology. The article relates that the tool's measurement precision has been improved by applying cycling acquisition method, self calibration function and phase-sensitive detector. The image coverage rate is improved and reached to 60 percent by increasing the number of pad's buttons. The tool carried out two logging functions: fast-scanner mode and dip mode. The tool became shorter by combination of the navigation part and signal preprocessing part . The zero-serve controlled system is removed to optimize the circuit. The acquisition controller is redesigned by applying FPGA chip . The data-restoration and image display methods are supplemented and their improving plans are proposed. In the image analysis chapter, the author has made a contrast between the three methods: crossing correlation method, hough transform and scale-space technology. The differences between WDS and foreign tools are clear in image analysis technology. The features which a new micro resistivity scanner imaging processing system should have are proposed. Two methods of rock faces recognition are provided. | Keywords/Search Tags: | micro resistivity scanner imaging tool, borehole image coverage, tool's measurement precision, data restoration, image analysis, crossing correlation method, hough transform, scale-space technology, rock faces recognition | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
