This paper proposed a technology of designing a minimal system of GPS reciever, which is based on SiRF Star II architecture. First, the hardware designing methods of the RF section and the digital section are described. Then both the architecture of the GSW2 software .which runs on SiRF Star II platforms, and the way of writing bootstrap code and device driver are described. The last part of the paper discuss energy-efficient design of the reciever. The GPS reciever designed through the methods described in the paper is proved to be working well. |
