In the field of computer graphics,objects are often represented by triangle mesh,and mesh of object usually contains thousands of polygons. The large-scale data of these models overwhelms the rendering performance of current graphics systems. It is an important focus question how to render object model rapidly and keep better display quality.We analyze and research some crucial technology in process of modeling and simplifying for large-scale data mesh model in this dissertation.First,a new algorithm for mesh simplification is presented in this thesis,which is based on visual effect in different application background of mesh model. This algorithm can reserve better image quality and larger ratio of model simplification.Second,We present a rapid algorithm for triangle modeling and normal reconstruction for mesh data points that have been simplified.Third,because of widespread application of contour model,we give an effect modeling technique using contour model.At last,in order to improve rendering speed,we present an approach to arrange objects into LOD,and an approach to select objects in complex scene according to viewpoint. |
