Digital Television System Front-end Technology Research And Development

Digital TV(DTV), a kind of Information Service which is about to be developed in the whole country, involves technology of computer, multimedia, communication and network. The front-end is the important segment in DTV System. The fundamental purpose of this project is to research and analyse the critical technology relative to DTV system front-end, and implement the producing and playing of all kinds of MPEG-2 bit streams by programming.This dissertation deeply researches and discusses the technology of DTV system broadcast front-end, which involves the framework of MPEG-2 system layer, the analysis of the PSI and SI in MPEG-2 and DVB Specification, the fundamental of DTV Conditional Access (CA), Scrambling/Descrambling and Encryption/Decryption technology, and the technology of Digital Program Insertion Cueing Message for commercial, and so on. In addition, this dissertation also describes the development and debugging process of the broadcasting software based on the ViewGraphics MediaPump and OpenTV OpenStreamer API.
