Research And Application Of Embedded Linux

With the development of the computer, network and communication technology, embedded system has been developed dramatically in the post-PC age. The concept of embedding calculating and controlling mechanism into all kinds of electronic devices is not as the same as the old singlechip system. The new concept of embedded system not only has it's operation system and up-layer application, but also has some information management and network communication functions, which is based on specified applications.Transplanting linux system into embedded system has many merits. But there are some problems to tackle at the same time.Real time feature is the key to the embedded system. Paper mainly discussed the architecture of linux system, process management and improving on the linux real time feature.In the end of the paper, I introduced a embedded system which operation system is Unux-VR. The contents of this chapter mainly dedicated on the resolution scheme, working principle, system transplanting and working flow.
