There is no doubt that speech communication is an important intercourse tool for human.lt is also the most common form in data communication systems. With the development of mobile communication and Internet, the speech communication technology has innovated and developed rapidly. With the increasing of network users> the integrating and diversifying of network service , the contradications among bandwidth , system capacity and service quality are more and more obvious, traditional 64kbit/s PCM speech coding can not satisfy the requirement of transimit bandwidth which is becoming more and more congested,. So, hybrid coding who can reduce the bit-rate of speech without notablly degrading its perceptual quality is used widely.The best way to speech coding in mobile communication is hybrid coding. Since the theory and the realization algorithm of the LPC filter are mature, the key of the improvement of speech coding algorithm is to improve the excitation. Therefore, this article just focuses on pitch analysis , introducing the respective pitch searching methods of different coding algorithm such as LPC, MPLPC and CELPC. At the same time, it pays much attention to analysize the application of AMR.
