Content-adaptive Technology-based Content Distribution Network

High Internet access speed becomes more portant, for there are more and more users and network applications of the Internet, But the normal internet accelerating technologies for single web site could not satis1 the requirement;with the porgress of the mobile communication and the increase of the number of mobiles,PDAs connecting to the internet,the web pages designed for PC web browsers formerly could not be visited by these devices, the method being used at present is to develop a new specific content system for specific access devices ,such as Wap site for mobile,wbich is very inefficient,and the maintenance is a burden,and it also did not consider the condition of network and clients profile. In this paper,Firstly we introduce the technology of accelerating content,including load balancing,web cache,SSL accelerator,bandwidth management and ESI(edge side includes). Secondly,we provide the concept of CDN(content delivery network),and discuss its orgnization and application.CDN is composed of Content Engines, Content Router, Content Distribution Manager.When users visit one web site which has joined the CDN service,CDN content Router can redirect users request to the Content Engines which could provide better services.Content Engines could accelerate the users access by load balancing to different web cache by Content switch. Then the technology of adaptive content delivery is discussed,which could send different content according to the character of network application,client profile,network traffic and server load. Traditionally adaptive content delivery is based of single server architecture. server load is a big problem by using original centralized web server, and could not saticfy the need of increasing of application. Thus in this paper we present a new distributional network architecture ,which could support uniform access platform ,through intergrating CDN and adaptive content delivery technology. It could provide users more considerate service according to network status and client information by adding the conent adaptation module on CDN.thus could reduce the burden of the original server, improve the access speed, support more access modes,and provide more personalized service. Last,we introduce the simulation program which implement the web page adaption(normal web pages to Wap pages).
