Television News Eai Applications

With the development of computer application and arrive of network economy, companies have to face to the challenge of the new economy mode. Some departments in News Center of Zhejiang TV Station have already developed information systems, which don't share data. We call these systems isolated information islands. How to utilize these information resources and make these application co-operations together? The answer is EAI. TheEe's big diffecenc& between media- companies and traditional manufacturing companies, so we cannot use the integration method that used in manufacturing enterprises directly. And traditional EAI method need modify legacy systems; its implementation also needs much money. We have some data integration experience during we developed News Exchange System for News Center. By utilizing new XML technology and Java Message Service, we design a new XML-based Application Integration Framework for News Center of Zhejiang TV Station. It is based on message broker architecture and implemented with component technology-CORBA, so it is an extensible, platform independent framework that can integrate enterprise legacy applications with little effort. All the applications integrated into this framework don't need to be modified; all the application data related work can be done by application specific adapter. All the messages transferred in this framework are in XML data file, so these messages can be used in B2B integration directly. In this thesis, first we analyze the states of the application in News Center, and then we describe the whole structure of the framework and the design, functionalities of components in this framework. After that we give the implementation of the key components in the framework. We also describe the information flow in this framework in detail.
