Mis Software Development Platform For The Campus Network System Design

In modern society, the application of Management Information System (MIS) is spreading to more and more field, however, the development of MIS is a rather complex process. The common development methods have some disadvantages. Among the disadvantages, the MIS are noted for their bad universality and adaptation, and few users can join the process of development. In this paper, we proposed a new method to develop MIS under the guide of "configuration ", users can customize their own MIS without programming.The whole system is composed of four parts: Database Configuration, User Interface Configuration, System Compiling and System Maintenance. Users can define the database structure and create it online by use of Database Configuration; User operational interfaces can be generated and converted to Web pages publishing through User Interface Configuration and System Compiling; after MIS has been created, user can use System Maintenance Wizard to maintain the data.The method proposed in this paper has been adopted to generate Campus-Wide Management Information System (CWMIS). By using this development kit, some schools have customized their own MISs and put them into use and the MISs are reliable and efficient.
