Infrared guidance based on image, as the third generation of infrared guidance, shows the tendency of the infrared guidance technique and the high accuracy guidance techniques. This paper does certain researches on infrared image guidance. The main achievements of this paper are as follows: 1, It studies the application of the Lateral Inhibition Network in the field of infrared image processing, a simplified math-realization of the cyclic Lateral Inhibition is studied, on this base a edge-detect algorithm is proposed ,and proves efficient in the experiment. 2, It studies the application of the wavelet multi-scale analysis in the image processing, and a idea of "auto-focus"was introduced in the image guidance, next the approach of carrying out this idea is studied. 3, ATR is studied in this paper both invariant moments to round degree. And, against the helicopter the result of test is given. The idea of topological is introduced in the fried of ATR, the hitting-point choice on the basis of characteristic points is studied and aiming at the tanker a applied algorithm is proposed. 4, It studies the target tracking, the hitting-point tracking is proposed ,and a idea of "multi-target gate"is applied. 5, The necessity of image algorithm system's optimization is discussed, and a segmented analysis is proposed on the ground of missile-target distance.
