Video supervisory control has been a establishment that of certainly have for confidential department of society to keep away. With the development of digital video processing, network, remote communication and VLSI, the society has higher requirement for the video supervisory, control. This paper is about a remote video supervisory control system, and make a clearly exhaustive description about his two subsystem. At first, we will discuss principle, key technology and hardware design of video supervisory control system at a stand-alone. Secondly, we will discuss supervisory terminal and supervisory network. On supervisory terminal, the choice of supervisory platform and the characteristic of terminal will be discussed. We will know clearly X terminal抯 notion. With the supervisory network analyzing, we will analyse RTP/RTCP protocols and RSVP protocol of IP network. They are necessary for multimedia date to make real-time transmission. X system structure are composed of X client and X display server. Our remote supervisory control system is based on this structure. supervisory control is belong to X client and supervisory terminal is server. Image has been recorded by supervisory control system and been sent to supervisory terminal by supervisory network. supervisory network is based on the Linux operateing system, it is the integration of the terminal serve and router. It is in charge of system manager and interface for parameter. It is also in charge of system security. At last, we will analyse system performance and result of the experiment.
