Embedded Networking Software And Implementation Of Low-end Router

The network compute has become the main subject of our times. With the rapid spread of Internet, the world is stepping into a network era, and the usage of single computer has been passed gradually. More and more embeded devices have been used in the network of enterprise and home. Nowadays, the scale of a computer network enlarges and internet expands continuously ,therefore, the router device will be the key technology of the computer network and be the most inportant communication device. This thesis introduces the development and characteristics of the embeded network, and specific characteristics of embeded TCP/IP. It analyzes the developing process and the foreground of the low-end router, and discusses the key technology in low-end router development. Then how to develop a network driver of all kinds of network interface such as Ethernet HDLC UART , in the cross-development enviroment of the embeded system is discussed too, by which our router can be connected with the similar products of Cisco. Some other key technologies of the router such as the access filter table and the access server, the router protocol, the configure of router are also explained. In the end, it explains the result of experiment software, and gives some idea about the work in the future.
