The paper describes the studies of photoconductive layer and reflective layer in the high brightness, high resolution and large screen liquid crystal light valve. The main work include two parts: The process and preparation of photoconductive layer; The design and preparation of dielectric mirror; the main work of photoconductive layer is to analyse the requirements of the light resistance and the dark resistance, thickness of a-Si:H ,also to analyse the definition influence of the photoconductive, the goal is to attain the performance requirement of the liquid crystal light valve by process. About dielectric layer, the first part is some optical film design theory, then use MATLAB to simulate X/4 dielectric high reflectivity film . the second part is the introduction of preparation principle of the dielectric layers and the test method of the thin film thickness. The Si02/Ti02 X/4 dielectric layers that I have designed have achieved a reflectivity up to 99.5%~99.8%, and meet our requirements of liquid crystal light valve.
