This paper research on the application of intelligent in the compensation foreccentricity and the control of strip flatness in the cold rolling mill.At the beginning, this paper summarizes principle of automatic gauge controlsystem (AGC) and characters of some kinds of automatic gauge control system.Accordingly the basic idea and method of the compensation for eccentricity and thecontrol of strip flatness in the cold rolling mill are put forward.In this paper, we take three methods to solving the problem of eccentricity First,using Stochastic Approximation Mathod to detect eccentricity. Second, dynamicalcompensation for the thickness variation of the strip due to Eccentricity by usingAdaptive NeuraI Network Filter. Third, combining the two methods having beenmentioned together.This paper realizes the eccentricity compensation system in a high thicknessaccuracy cold rolling mill. According to fact, we make some progresses in arithmetic,We also make the simulation research on the data acquired from the field by thissystem.To solve strip natness problem, we propose fuzzy-neutral strip flatness controlsystem. The research focuses on applying neural network to identify the strip flatness.On the while, the simulation has proved that it would get a good result in identify thestrip flatness if neural network was used.
