With the Organic Light Emitting Diode as the mainly representative of the rapid development of new type of micro display device, the micro display technology has been developing rapidly. On this basis, the 3D display technology is in rapid development in recent years. Mainly, it is more and more popular in the aspects such as military, medical, entertainment. Especially, Near Eyes stereo display technology which base of micro display is becoming a hot spot of research in recent years.In this paper, based on the research of the human eye binocular parallax principle and the characteristics of high resolution 0.5’’ micro AM-OLED, a HD stereo display system was designed with HDMI interface using hardware platform of Samsung ARM11 and embedded Linux as the operating system. The specific work is as below:(1) Completed the stereo display system hardware design. Hardware design mainly includes HDMI video transmission interface, the ARM minimum system, and OLED display module design. System of video source input methods include HDMI and SD memory card input.(2) Completed the stereo display system software design. Software design mainly includes the construction of the embedded Linux system, HDMI player, Qt human-machine interface, and OLED display driver design.(3) Completed the hardware and software test of the stereo display system. The interlaced video by field order 3D video source, which inputted from the HDMI or SD card, was converted to Field Timing Mode video format, which processed through the ARM. At the same time, the outputting 3D synchronous signal controlled the left and right SVGA050 to receive corresponding parallactic images. Optical platform is named P130X-001-RB. It is suitable for 0.5’’ OLED micro displays with SVGA pixels of 800×600 resolution. The system is completed the test on the optical platform. HD stereo video sources achieved an improvement effect on the dual SVGA050 after the optical system amplified.(4) The conclusion of this thesis. Stereo video source is chosen the interlaced video by field order. The stereo video source adopts the way of 2D transmission scheme, which can reduce the cost of system development. By the interlaced video stereo video source and 3D refresh function of SVGA050, the Near Eyes binocular 3D display system reduce the complexity of software algorithm, which also has the advantages of low power consumption, portable and comfortable.
