Millimeter-wave technology has very broad applications, including a very mportant sub-application of the precision-guided field.Millimeter wave have been famous of wideband, good direction, interference, small size, low power, hidden features and so on, and it is widely used in airborne radar or onboard guidance. Single antenna frequency modulated continuous wave (FMCW) Cancellation transmitter/receiver (T/R) module is one of the main application areas of millimeter wave technology. More stringent performance has been required for T/R module on delivery systems. Based on the desirability of such a practical application background, the RF cancellation techniques has been in-depth studied. Experimental studies show that this technique feasible. The overall system has been analyzed and designed systematically. New technology solutions has been introduced to the key technology of In-phase/Quadrature (I/Q) Vector modulator, and achieved very good results. In the W-band achieve a 40dB amplitude regulation range and the phase of 0-360° range. A condition of the cancellation for the system has been created.The whole system has been in-depth understood and analyzed by reading the relevant literatures. On this basis, the system is modular. Based on existing technology platforms, a new scheme has been introduced to solve the key technological bottlenecks flexibly. According to the needs of the whole system, coupling-power sub-module, a road-coupling module, narrow band pass filter, driver amplifier module, inverter modules, high-performance waveguide-Fin line-microstrip transition, IF pre-modulation vector modulation schemes and modules in kind were designed. Finally, key technology was integrated to the new program, and IF pre-modulation module was tested. The actual tests results were analyzed, and further optimized system solutions, which have laid a good foundation for the realization of the overall cancellation technology.
