Compared to other band radar, W band radar has light weight, high angular resolution features. The 3 mm electromagnetic wave’s attenuation in the atmosphere is small, it provides the precise guidance of millimeter wave radar with congenital superior conditions. Compared with the pulse radar, continuous wave radar is more easily miniaturized and use solid-state device, but the existence of signal leaks limited its application. This article is based on the limitations of the continuous wave radar, through two schemes to design the feedback module whose role is cancel leak signal, finally we realizes the feedback module’s design, production, assembly, testing, data analysis, etc.The first chapter briefly summarizes the history and the study trends of high isolation TR components and the main work of this paper. The second chapter briefly introduces the theory of the basic components in feedback module, including mainly passive components and active components and the corresponding main technical indicators. The third chapter verify the implementation of first scheme, the feasibility of intermediate frequency preset system. The results show that the simulation results is good, the program can be performed. Then the medium frequency vector modulator and W band image rejection mixer is designed, produced and measured, analyzed, and tested together. For the function of two modular components is bad, which lead to the feedback module result is not ideal and can’t be used for cancellation system, this paper analysis the problem in details. The fourth chapter briefly introduces the direct modulation scheme to design the feedback modulator. Firstly, the circuit schematics of the W band modulator is simulated in ADS environment, the simulation results show that the maximum gain of double balanced IQ modulator is- 12 dB, it also can achieve 360° phase modulation. Secondly, the direct modulation module and the power supply PCB are designed twice. The result show that the first module’s amplitude information has multiple poles and the phase information is bad, can’t be used to the cancellation system. The second module’s amplitude information looks like a funnel, the max gain is-14 dB. The phase information show that it can provides continuous 360° phase modulation. The amplifier’s performance is good, the measurement results show that through the gate voltage regulation, the max gain it can achieve is 19 d B. The amplifier and modulator together can produce enough power signal to offset the leakage signal. The fifth chapter made a summarize of the full paper and discusses the further improvement of the feedback modulator.
