At present, market positioning is mainly rely on GPS receiver.However, the GPS receiver has a drawback, that’s it can only locate its own position and it cannot locate the place where without the GPS receiver. Although using GPS to position the local has most satisfy people’s needs, In certain cases only has the local position is not acceptable(for example in the situation of forest fire prevention), it also need achieve location the place where without the GPS receiver. Based on this situation, In this paper, we study a kind of target positioning device which it use The multi-sensor fusion technology. In the range of its measurement, It can realize the target orientation. And this system in small volume can be placed in a variety of mobile devices. In addition, this system can be used on different platforms, has the very good portability. If we just want to get some pictures of the target without the need to target the video information, the main control system can sent target information which through RS232 to mobile bags, final the target information embedded into the target’s photo; If we need the target’s video images, the main control system can sent target information which through RS485 bus to TI’s DM485, final the target information embedded into the target’s video images. So we can according to the actual made adjust.The research content of this paper include: research the target localization algorithm, analysis the technical framework of this system and every modules’s working principle, design of the system hardware and software and localization algorithm and the error analysis and correction of the system. In this paper,we using 51 MCU achieve the target position and designed the modules of GPS, compass,lase distance and target position algorithm. At the last, we analyses and correction the error of the system. The results show that this system has a certain position precision, has reached the expected goal.
