Research And Analysis Of Raw Material Warehouse Management System

I had been working on warehouse management for couple of years and later on got a job on manufacturing information consulting, so it provided me the opportunity to visit factories, especially those factories about electronic manufacturing, and I have learnt that for many factory warehouse, their daily management affairs were finished almost by manual works which led a heavy workload, low efficiency and high mistake rate. To make a contribution to enterprises and to put my knowledge in a better use, I am going to make a deep analysis to warehouse management system by combining those relevant business knowledges with know-how in IT information technology, Object oriented technology I learnt recently and modeling language UML. For manufacturing industries, raw material cost takes a large part in its product cost; therefore, I put my key focus on the study and analysis about raw material warehouse management system.I have done great amount of works on raw material warehouse management system and typically listed as follows:●Collect information and study warehouse management and software engineering;●Do field survey and draw preliminary business process;●Analyze existing process, find problems and make optimization strategy;●Reengineer and optimize existing process;●Do case study and case description;●Design the overall functions and subsidiary functions of the system;●Draw entity relationship chart;●Establish database chart structure.After all those works, this paper aims to find a way to realize the life cycle control on raw material warehouse management. And as the result of business process optimization, it solved the problem of information synchronization by reducing manual writing bills and manual approval processes. And by introducing informatonization technology, managers can control and track the item information, warehouse information and fund information and allow item automatic tracking; Thus providing enterprises those necessary information for warehouse checking and helping them to allocate their warehouse space better, and providing a better service to customer with quick respond speed, accurate information and low cost.
