As a special kind of sensors in sensing technology field,fiber-optic sensors can be less susceptible and will not make any interference on external environment.These advantages make fiber-sensors have become the very choice in some special situations,recently,the market-share for fiber-optic sensors have been increasing year by year.The main research focus on this paper is to do research on fiber-optic birefringence on single-mode fiber-optic,carrying out a study to explore the phenomenon of fiber-optic birefringence when different force effects on single-mode fiber-optic.According to the results,to design a kind of fiber-optic sensor which is capable to detect axial pressue,for filling the gaps in the study of field in fiber-optic sensing which is based on fiber-optic birefringence.And detect the polarization of out-put light with Polarization Axis Finder,Polarization Axis Finder can be used to show linearly polarized light directly,remedied the defects when using other tools to detect polarization that can not be observed with naked eyes directly.At last,to write programs to process the final data with Matlab.
