Armored fighting vehicles as the main modern battlefield is facing a growing threat of high-efficiency anti-armor weapon. Armored vehicles killer-Terminal sensitive projectile, for instance, has been vigorously being developed by many countries abroad because of the function of target auto-tracking and enormous power. Facing the threat of the terminal sensitive projectile, the traditional concept in the way of increasing the thickness of armored defense has been unable to adapt to the needs of the modern battlefield, so the active defense system has gradually been put on the schedule of developing and equiping by many countries in the world.Active defense system can destroy the threat to the defense by locating incoming targets before being hit. Therefore, in order to improve the survivability of armored fighting vehicles, active defense system has to be able to obtain the exact location of incoming targets. In this paper, a kind of shot-range fire control guided radar system against incoming sensitivity projectile is put forword to meeting the requirements of tecnology development. And the paper highlights base band signal processing of the radar system. The short-range fire control guidance radar system possess target detection and radio command detonated function. A radar depend on two different tasks requires two transmit signals to detect the signal that using a linear FM signal (LFM) and detonated command that using a pseudo-random code (PN). After receiving the radar echo pulse, the noise ratio of the echo signal can be improved through compression algorithms and coherent integration algorithm, then the target is detected through CFAR detection algorithm and moving target detection algorithm, the target information is extracted from the last detected signal and sent to the fire control computer in order to guide active defense system to take measures on the target. In the paper, finally, we present a circuit design of a short-range fire control radar hardware based on platform of FPGA digital signal processing as well as having an experimental description and making analysis of experimental data of its infield joint measurement, infield and outfield darkroom experiments.
