The temperature measuring technology based on infrared thermal detector, due to the advantage of portable,non-contact,intuitive and easy to use,has gained more and more attention recently. This paper compares the existing hand-held infrared thermometer and finds that there are several common shortcomings such as low resolution imaging,blurring details, no colour display,single interface and heavy equipment.So,the research mainly puts forward the structure scheme of a helmet type infrared thermal imaging system to realize the miniaturization and temperature requirements.Aiming at the front-end imaging system, this paper deeply analyzes the structure of the infrared optical system and the response principle of infrared detector.What’s more, it thoroughly analyzes the noise and heterogeneity affecting the image quality.It mainly puts forward a calibration method integrating temperature calibration with non-uniformity calibration.This method can well improve the effect of the non-uniformity correction without increasing the computing and processing complexity. For the back-end display system, by fully comparing the existing display equipment,this research increases the function menu through the design of man-machine interface.Therefore,it can provide a variety of temperature measuring methods and image manipulation functions, and can greatly reduce the power inspection error rate. At the same time, in order to improve the human recognition, this paper focuses on adding the improved pseudo color algorithm, and further introduces the OLED mesh type viewing screen to achieve the best way of observation.The helmet type infrared temperature measurement system designed in this paper not only liberates the hands but also realizes the consistency of detector view and eye view. Ultimately it achieves the result that what you see is actually the inspection. Based on the actual needs, it gives full consideration to the miniaturization, hardware feasibility, low power consumption and operability to achieve the goal of saving time,labor and cost. There will be a great application prospect in the near future.
