Bidirectional radiation distribution function (BRDF) can be some of thecharacteristics of the scattered radiation and the rough surface of the object will bedescribed. Widely used in the target object detection, tracking and identificationtechnologies, and has a market prospect and research value. In this paper, we usebidirectional reflectance distribution function Phong model plane plastic (PVC) tostudy the characteristics of crafts.This paper describes the common methods of measurement and calibration testmode laser treatment and the visible band BRDF, comparing the advantages anddisadvantages of many BRDF model to determine the model of the plane usedherein Phong Plastic (PVC) to study the characteristics of crafts. Then, the paperaccording to the theoretical formula bidirectional reflectance distribution function,the use of PR-715spectrophotometer on plane radiation plastics (PVC) handicraftsin nearly parallel light reflected radiance multiple angles of incident irradiancemeasurement. Objects were measured specular reflection, diffuse reflectancecharacteristics, combining theory Phong illumination model to determine the craftPhong model parameters corresponding to achieve its modeling. Random anglemeasurement data and the Phong model predicted the measured values arecompared and analyzed.Finally, the experimental results show that the PR-715Radiationspectrophotometer Phong model for plastic objects create diffuse reflection methodwith a high part accuracy and high light portion also has a high accuracy. Thismethod is applied to the study of the object BRDF feature is feasible.
