Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is one of automatic identificationtechnology. As an automatic identification technique without touching, comparedwith other identification technologies, RFID technology has many advantages, ofwhich the most potential one is the huge market for RFID system applications. As avital and integral part of RFID system,RFID antennas have received much attention, and their design is very urgent and significant. The tag antenna is special because thetag antenna is used in the various environments. The miniaturization of tag antenna isa hotspot for research. In this paper, we used simulation software HFSS to study twoaspects. The main research content is as follows:Firstly, our research focused on main performance parameters of Inverted-Fantenna which loaded different number of meander-lines and different height ofmeander-lines. According to research, main performance parameters of inverted-Fantenna, such as resonant frequency, resonance impedance and S11parameter ofresonance point could be adjusted effectively. Inverted-F antenna could beminiaturized effectively by selecting appropriate number and height of meander-lines.Secondly, research focused on the input impedance of meander-line inverted-Fantenna. In the simulation processing, we found the input impedance of meander-lineinverted-F antenna was changed mostly when main structural parameters ofmeander-line inverted-F antenna, especially the height of meander-line were varied. The result of simulation provides an idea for the design of tag antenna.Thirdly, probe-fed rectangular patch antenna with Minkowski fractal structurewhich for2.45GHz was simulated. Simulation results were similar to side-fed squarepatch antenna with Minkowski fractal structure. The resonant frequency decreasedwith fractal iteration, so the size of the antenna could be miniturized. And antennapattern unchanged with fractal iteration mostly, which meet the applicationrequirements basically.
