With the rapid development of broadband services in recent years, in order to reduce the impact of a large number of concurrent repeated business to the network, using content distribution network (CDN) to deliver business emerged. To this end, including telecom are relying on the advantage of the network resources, and build CDN network, thereby reducing the unlimited increase in Internet transmission bandwidth increase to ensure the transmission quality of the large flow of streaming media and other business. Recently, telecom have planned in the design of a new the CDN network platform based on the original construction CDN network archi tecture, streaming media delivery platform to build a nationwide coverage.Content del ivery network overlay the IP-based network to publish network content to the edge of the network, its working principle is placing the network content, cache server at each network node, CDN central control system(SLB) redirects the request to the best a service node basing on network traffic and the distance between the user and nodes in real time, the user requests are directed to the best, a service node. For the user, through the CDN system, the response time is shortened, the stability of data transmission is increased, this improved the overall performance of the network service.This paper starts from introduction of the existing telecom’s network architecture, analyzes the necessary of developing large-scale CDN network, as well as introduces the key technologies of achieving a CDN system and the development trend of CDN technology in China and abroad. Secondly, analyzes the structure of the CDN system, including major aspects of the system structure, basic data flow, software architecture, interface, networking process, content lifecycle management, resource control, routing scheduling. Thirdly designs the major key modules of CDN system including CRM, CCM, LRM, LCM, SLB, AG. Finally provides a solution of CDN streaming media player platform, and analyzes the headquarters, provinces two-layer mode network topology as well as the on-demand, download, live business processes in this mode.The CDN network system designed by this paper has some advantages, such as multi-level load balancing, global content routing mechanism, designed by component:schema and good scalability to support concurrent users and so on.This paper provides a good solution to Telecom operators to build a CDN platform, also it advises how to optimize and upgrade an existing CDN pjat form, and the results of this paper also can be applied Lo other network building in the Internet industry.
