As we all know, for the high cost of infrastructure, the rail transport system often using high-speed and high-density operators, so we must rely on the advanced communication signal equipment for the control and management. With the development of computer technology, control technology and modern communication technology, metro signaling system has been changed from based on the Track Circuit into based on Communication, and now it based on Radio Communication. One of the biggest feature is the change of the data transmission channel between vehicle and wayside, which is from Track Circuit becomes Radio Channel.Based on the characteristics of the system based on Track Circuit, this paper introduced the Data Communication system, analyzed how the subsystems of Data Communication system be designed and achieved. We described the principles of Ethernet transmission and the wireless communication, gave the structure of the Data Communication system, did a detailed design for combining Ethernet and wireless communication transfer mode. Data communication system is available and secure to train positioning and control system. According to its composition, characteristics, the transmission mode and the relevant standards, we proposed a new demand for the data communication system which focuses on a wired network subsystem, wireless network subsystem, and the security subsystem. Finally we did theoretical analysis for the data communication system, system’s safety performance and the positioning technology.
