Inventory management is the management of products’amount in the process of logistics. If inventory is full, it will cost more, and reduce the effective of using money. However, if the inventory excessive reduced, the chain of products will be interrupted. Inventory management is always an extremely important part of logistics enterprises. Reasonable and effective logistics and inventory management can give us a balance, not only ensure normal production and supply, but also maximize compress stock funds, finally get the desired economic benefit. The traditional inventory management has some problems, such as the inventory information is delayed and not accurate, or can’t keep abreast of development and production of materials and other issues, which severely restrict the development of an enterprise. With the development of modern information technology, computers have been increasingly used in all fields of an enterprise. Various management software applications are accepted and used by a lot of companies. ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) is an enterprise management system which used wide range.At this age, the information technology is highly developed; the product life cycles are shorter. So shorten inventory cycle, in order to reduce inventory and the risk of funds became an important issue of an enterprise should faced. An enterprise needs to ensure the production and operation, at the same time, inventory should maintained at a reasonable level; Aware of inventory dynamic real time, order and picking appropriately, avoid the risk of excessive storage or out of stock; arrange inventory space, lower The total cost of inventory, accelerate cash flow. Reasonable and effective inventory management software can achieve more goals with less cost.This thesis elaborated the research and development status of this subject, describe the functions of an inventory management system, give a full requirement analysis of it, and design the overall structure and frameworks of the system. With the help of object-oriented theory, use the program design language-C++, the Structured Query Language-SQL, Unified Modeling Language-UML and other language tools, learn from the three-tier architecture, object/relational mapping-ORM, follow the idea of interface-oriented, design patterns on the inventory management system design and implementation. This thesis focuses on the implementation of the basic information management, product information management, warehousing operations, data maintenance.
