Along with the development of information technology, the construction process of hospital information system is also accelerating. However, in this process, there many application systems which are built in different time with different technical solution and produced by different software company exists in hospitals. Among these systems, it often tend to require huge amounts of medical information transmission, but as the isolation of each other make it difficult to transport and exchange medical information efficiently. Therefore it is extremely important for researchers to study to how to provide medical information transmission and exchange service efficiently and stability between heterogeneous systems in hospital, so that various departments in hospital could obtain effective information timely and accurately.HL7(Health Leven Seven)is a industry standard for medical data exchange which organized by HL7organization. The purpose of the standard is produced to achieve the exchange of electronic medical information, and the core of exchange is the HL7message. Thus a lot of people combine HL7message and the middleware solutions are given, however, the prevalence of current HL7middleware does not have the characteristics of asynchronous, high transmission reliability and diversity transmission mode. In order to solve the above problems, this paper studies the mechanism of HL7message transmission and exchange which based on the medical information integration platform. Main research of this paper is as follows:(1) The current research status, principal and implement mechanism of the message oriented middleware system is analyzed and summarized. Specifically, and focuses on the JMS message specification.(2) We introduce ActiveMQ which is achieved JMS norms and asynchronous message bus as message server based on medical information integration platform, and combine with the Spring framework, Especially focus on the extraction of HL7message from the database, to package the message, and the HL7message sent and received. Then the HL7message transmission and exchange is designed and implemented.(3) Through the study of HL7messaging protocol, we implement a unified MLLP adapter to standardize the HL7message transmission in hospital information systems.(4) The reliability model of HL7message transmission is proposed. The message persistent and the architecture of master/slave message server are designed and implemented.Finally, verified feasibility and effectiveness of the system through experiment.
