Design And Implementation Of Mobile Course Learning System In Android Environment

With the wide use of wireless mobile Internet technology, such terminal equipments as intelligent mobiles make their rapid development and popularization. Till now, the technology of wireless network communication has become mature and its research on how the commonly-used mobile terminal is used in course learning has profoundly realistic significance and broad application value. This new mode of learning, also mobile learning, aims to make learners feel free from time, space and network condition restriction, and learn independently any time, any place as well.This system, based on the Android platform, establishes a mobile learning system for learners to use mobile phones and other smart terminals for study and interactive communication. Learning service provider (teachers) can do the course management and learning content management through the PC connection management platform; release the mobile learning course content. Based on the Android system, mobile phone users (learners) have convenient and rapid access to course content learning and testing services by installing mobile learning client software and connecting to the learning system.This research mainly studies the following aspects of mobile learning system:firstly, it analyzes the research background and illustrates the research methods, research targets, and research contents; secondly, it introduces the basic knowledge of Android platform system, including building a system development platform, creating Android programs, having requirement analysis, and analyzing the function of the system; thirdly, it includes the designing of the mobile learing system and database, realization of the encoding of designed system function and systematic testing and validation on the simulator. Finally, it sums up this research and puts forward the shortcomings and the future prospect.On the project implementation, the client software uses integrated development tools Eclipse and Java language for development; the server is a Web system based on PHP agile development; test and the simple deployment use Tomcat servers; storage data uses MySQL database.The researcher makes the revision and perfection of the learning system based on the test and users’ use of it. With its functioning stably, and users experiencing well, the improved system has wide use and application value.
