The rapid development and popularity of Internet technology has put higher demand on information services in international and domestic universities. As a result, various application systems have been put into use. In Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine there are multiple application systems, providing different services. These systems, while improving users' efficiency in obtaining service and information, have caused great inconvenience. With increased number of systems, data in these systems are growing in large quantities, which has made it difficult to obtain useful data and instant service; sometimes the data could even be inaccurate. It is urgent for the university to build up a platform which can integrate various systems and data to provide convenient services to all the users. In this paper, the status quo and existing problems of the Net system in Shanghai University of TCM are first discussed, which leads to the necessity of an integrated information platform basing on Web Services. Following this, the major functional requirement of campus information integration platform is discussed, together with the main procedures of the management of authentication account, the realization of unified authentication and the management of service components. It is then followed by the analysis of the overall structure of the platform and detailed design of core subsystems, including the SSO authencication of user account, data sharing and application services. The main focus of the discussion is on single sign-on of unified aunthentication, data sharing and the integration of subsystems of application platform and e-mail system. Finally, the characteristics and effects of the platform are analyzed.
