By applying AutoCAD and SharePoint API technology, an integrated drawing file sharing platform, which based AutoCAD and Web Browser as Client side and SharePoint as Server side, is build to improve efficiency of survey and design teamwork. The construction of this platform involves processing of complex drawing files, heterogeneous systems integration, access support for mobile devices and other key technologies. To be more specific, AutoCAD.NET API will be used by designer for complex drawing file processing operations. And AutoCAD.NET API and SharePoint Web services will be applied for the integration process of heterogeneous systems. Moreover, access support for mobile devices and constant web page generation can be functionalized through applying SharePoint Object Model.This platform consists of the mutual exchange information sharing sub-system, design solutions sharing sub-system and system configuration management sub-system.The survey and design personnel can conveniently complete drawing file sharing in AutoCAD productive environment by use this platform, including communication among different specialties and searching and borrowing of historical drawing achieves.In the survey scene, mobile devices can also be used to access the drawing files.In the end of projects, drawings and other technical information will be sorted according to different categories and stored in the SharePoint Server as the achieve department requires. The pure management work such as engineering configuration and lending approval can be done by Web browser.By the survey and design's integrated drawing file sharing platform which based on AutoCAD and SharePoint, a perfect connection between survey and design's dynamic production process and static archive management is created. This not only greatly improves the normalization and timeliness, but also largely reduces the cost of borrowing historical information and saves huge trivial drawing archive reorganization work. Since AutoCAD is a necessary tool in survey and design industry and the basic edition of SharePoint can be accessed freely, the platform can save cost to the greatest degree without changing the present operating behaviors.
