The arrival of the information age and the rapidly growing popularity of the Internet make the preservation of a broad array of data information. But the current mainstream of Information Retrieval technologies is mainly based on the keyword search, and mainly focus on the study of mathematical algorithms while pay little attention to semantic retrieval and semantic reasoning. The extensive information format heterogeneity, the multiplicity of information semantics and the lack of information relations on the Internet cause great inconvenience for the people to retrieve, extract, express and explain the information. Knowledge Retrieval, a new type of intelligent Information Retrieval, is put forward in order to solve this problem. On the basis of the analysis of the association of knowledge hidden between information records, Knowledge Retrieval can reach intelligent inquiries based on semantic understanding, by organizing and processing knowledge. Knowledge Retrieval emphasizes that the matching is knowledge-based or semantic-based.Semantic retrieval is one of the key to knowledge retrieval, and semantic retrieval without semantic similarity calculation. Semantic reasoning is the realization of knowledge retrieval another key. Semantic reasoning role in knowledge retrieval application includes two aspects, namely, to ensure logic reasoning test ontology structure logical consistency and knowledge, and the correctness of the application described the semantic reasoning found implied to make ontology associated semantic relationship more complete.
