With the rapid development of Internet in the world, network application, especially the application of multimedia video conference and distance learning spring up day by day. Utilizing multicast can save a large amount of bandwidth while transmitting the multimedia data more. However, it will cause more and more serious congestion problem. Multicast congestion control is necessary in avoiding congestion collapsing and ensuring fair competition in bandwidth with unicast. And it is assure that the control of imported communication flow can achieve the balancing situation between avoiding loss of packets and high throughput of network. People pay more and more attention to congestion control.The current multicast congestion control are carried out through the use of mathematical formula, The algorithm models with nonlinear dynamics and optimization theory, Come to control the source side of the control parameters, And through analysis of existing congestion control under the current model of the steady-state and dynamic, Demonstrate the optimal parameters.In NS2, with the guidance of the result about the load which is calculated in theory, we observed the occupancy of Branch One in different load conditions. Simulation results show that sending rate of the source and buffer of branch node, which are calculated in the paper, is very important for actual network environment. Average load of actual network environment should be less than the maximum rate of bottleneck node. Theoretical value of buffer possession is less than the value that is set in the actual network environment.
