In traffic engineering, VPN, QoS aspects, MPLS technology has showed the unparalleled superiority of other technology, which has become a hot topic both at home and abroad.This paper introduces the process of packet forwarding in MPLS network firstly, and then describes the specific module partition and function realization of MPLS network, pointing out the merit and demerit of the realization of the MPLS network, and then given the way to improve it.Through introducing traffic engineering factor'factor'to optimize algorithm MSA; Through introducing the queue mechanism, obtaining the setting of best queue length.This paper simulates and researches on the process of packet forwarding and the schedule in MPLS network, getting the good conclusion to help engineering realization:when using FIFO scheduling program of MPLS network environment, choose 250byte as packetsize is reasonable; In order to achieve better performance of delay, packet loss rate and utilization, for input and output port obey poisson distribution traffic model, choose 1/5 input link processing capacity size as VOQ length, choose 2 times of output link processing capacity size as output queue length Will optimize MPLS network; For input ports obey poisson distribution traffic model, output ports obey ON/OFF sudden traffic model, choose 3.2 times of input link processing capacity size as VOQ length, choose 3 times of output link processing capacity size as output queue length Will optimize MPLS network; For input and output port obey ON/OFF sudden traffic model, and the load less than 80% of circumstance, choose 4 times of input link processing capacity size as VOQ length, select 4 times of output link processing capacity size as output queue length Will optimize MPLS network; For input and output port obey ON/OFF sudden traffic model, and the load more than 80%, rely on changing input or output queue length can not effectively optimize MPLS network. In the base of introducing the concept of packet lost threshold, screening the threshold:high requirement of delay, choose 0.025 as threshold will get better performance; high requirement of packet loss rate, the choice of 0.175 as threshold will get better performance; For fairness demanding network, set threshold according to output link rate will get better performance.Through simulation, this paper gets the related parameter of queue to optimize the Network in a variety of traffic model. It's a great help of optimization MPLS network in engineering realization.
