With the rapid development of network based on the IP and the great wealth of network business,network applications have an increasing demand on service quality but the network resources around bandwidth could not satisfy demands. Nowdays more and more real-time streaming media applications have increasing demands on network resources around bandwidth,such as audio/ideo conferences,video on demand,online games,etc.Meanwhile a large amount of P2 P applications made the local congested network more overwhelmed.It caused the service quality of vital network applications is not guaranteed. Therefore, how to manage the non-critical flow of broadband consumption, to ensure the quality of the transmission of key business flow, has become an important goal of network operation and maintenance, and network traffic shaping is an important means to achieve this goal.The thesis focus on the Traffic Shaping Network Congestion Control for TCP flows, including:(1)Analyzing the congestion controlling and traffic controlling method, and researching the sliding window mechanism, window management, traffic controlling and retransmission timeout of TCP. Learning the model of TCP throughput and the related technology of network traffic shaping. These provide the theoretical basis for the TCP traffic shaping method.(2)Researching how to control and shape the network traffic in the network boundary gateways, and proposed a TCP traffic shaping method based on the network congestion controlled. Consumers could flexibly controlled network traffic to protect the transmission rate of vital business flow, and could reduce the consumption of non-critical services to network broadband resources.(3)A network traffic shaping system based on TCP congestion control is implemented in the WinPcap framework. The prototype operates in transparent bridge system, deploys reseraches in actrual network environment, realized the purpose of shaping for IP network flows, and achieved the design objectives.Through theoretical analysis and comparative test, this thesis verifies the effectiveness and superiority of the TSNCC traffic shaping method. The capability of the prototype system is verified through the actual deployment verification. Test results show that the method and system can control and shaping the specified TCP traffic effectively.
