The future mobile communication has characteristics of broadband, IP, multi-media with rapid development of wireless communication. People have a high expectation of the communication system, Single carrier frequency division multiple access (SC-FDMA) has been adopted as the uplink access of LTE and Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) for the downlink access. These two access technique have the advantages of flexible spectrum allocation and anti-fading ability.Because customers require higher data transmit rate, and multiple service, LTE-Advanced (LTE-A) developed from LTE. LTE-A support much wider transmit band than LTE such as at least 20 MHz and 100MHz at most. The transmit data rate can be 1Gbps/s in the downlink at most and 100Mbp/s in the uplink. We adopt a crucial technology carrier aggregation in LTE-A to meet such a wide band as wide as 100MHz. Carrier aggregation aggregated the component carrier from the continuous or discrete spectrum to form a wider band than before. There are two kinds of carrier aggregation:one is Nx SC-FDMA, the other is Clustered SC-FDMA.We have a detailed research in the aspects of uplink multiple access and the carrier aggregation in the dissertation:Chapter 1 introduces the development of wireless communication, and some crucial techniques in the LTE and LTE-A.Chapter 2 introduces SC-FDMA, and the component of this system, including the carrier mapping, later we analyze the time domain signals of the SC-FDMA, we also compare SC-FDMA with the multi carrier technique OFDMA.Chapter 3 introduces the special carrier mapping:iterative mapping IFDMA in LTE. We analyze the received signal affected by the frequency offset in the receiver, and analyze the Signal Interference Noise Ration (SINR), we also revise the coefficient of MMSE detection algorithm, at last introduce the interference cancellation to mitigate the multiple users interference.Chapter 4 introduces the crucial technique in LTE-A, we introduce the two kinds of carrier aggregation:Nx SC-FDMA and Clustered SC-FDMA; we have a detailed focus on the various detection algorithm such as frequency domain equalization, and simulate the performance these two carrier aggregation, at last we investigate the transmit power allocation according to the characteristics of different spectrum.Chapter 5 gives a conclusion of the whole dissertation, introduce some future research work.
