The foam-type water-saving toilet has four major advantages of water saving, pollution control, no smell and fertilizer production. It has a very broad application prospects. But there are many problems in the toilet control technology. Such as too much control cabinet, operation inconvenient, complex connections, non-fault self-diagnosis, remote monitoring capabilities and etc. View of this, our task is to study and design ecological toilet control technology, which using single chip computer STC11F56XE as central processing unit and CH454D as serial expansion chip, and study fault diagnosis method based on single chip computer in this context, design the fault diagnosis circuit, which improve system's reliability and maintainability. The current foam-type water-saving toilet's electrical control is very backward. Our task can not only improve product's grade and competitiveness, but also play a positive role in its promotion.At the first, this paper studies the foam-type water-saving toilet system's control functions, its hardware consists of display, the central controller and foam controller. Central controller system includes a serial communication module, the water level detection module, temperature measurement module, power and water quantity detection module, the keyboard and display module and control output modules. System achieves all the required functions by programming with STC11F56XE microcontroller, which has ISP /IAP function, and propose the electronic system's equipment and relay fault diagnosis methods such as input, output key points couping, control output and detection return. Using MODBUS technology, the connection become simple, construction and maintenance becomes easy. Secondly, system used modular programming method by Keil C51, which could shorten the development cycle and make its transplantion easy.Experimental tests show that the system achieves the detection, control, display and MODBUS communication. And the proposed method can achieve parts of ecological toilet electronic system's fault self-diagnosis function. In the end, the study is reasonable, and solves some fault diagnosis problems based on the microcontroller with small program code space and less variable space.
