Mobile Ad hoc network (MANET) is a kind of distributed autonomous system without central controller. The node in the network can move freely and the topology of network can change dynamically. MANET has the characteristics of networking rapidly and strong survivability, mainly applying on some kind emergency and temporary communication and military mobile communication. In the large actual network surroundings often appears the situation of node heterogeneous, each node has different communication performance such as different number of physical interface, transmission power, communication area, battery energy and so on, and the logical identity, administration privilege and quality of service offered cannot be identical totally, such as the soldier on the battlefield, tank and air platform.Combined on the structure characteristics of large-scale heterogeneous Ad hoc network, and through the analysis and summary to the key technology of the networking process, such as routing protocols, IPv6 address assignment algorithm and mobility management algorithm, this article designs a set of E-HOLSR optimization classification network scheme. It uses HOLSR routing protocol as the core in this scheme, designed IPv6 addresses structure with identification of logical grading and finished duplicate address detection by cluster head. Moreover, the paper proposed a kind of mobility management algorithm, which is closely combined with routing protocol. The whole scheme process includes two phases like network initialization and operation maintenance. It realized network classification, grouping, establishing the routing of intra-cluster and inter-cluster and the transmission of data packet. This network scheme makes full use of the node with high-powered and overcomes the defect of restrict scalability for flat network structure, at the same time, it assures the stability of operation as the topology structure changes highly. In order to prove the feasibility and performance of the hierarchical network scheme as proposed, we set different network simulation experiments using OPNET simulation software. Through the simulation data statistics and analysis, it shows that in the large-scale heterogeneous Ad hoc networks, the hierarchical network scheme spends lower control overhead compared with the flat networks with the same condition. In the dynamic environment of heavy traffic, highly mobility intra-cluster and cluster-mobility, it can keep the stability of communication. In addition, if a node roams within two clusters, it uses mobility management scheme to keep the ongoing of communication. Thus this scheme provides reference to high-efficient networking for hierarchical Ad hoc network.
