With the rapid development of China's steel industry,higher requirements have set on the quality of steel production and the degree of automation.The subject investigated is the process of bale slag detection in the continuous casting production.According to the poor working environment,importance in production,through plenty of the theoretical research and on-site analysis,a new slag detection system of molten steel casting is presented, which has real-time slag detection and off-line image analysis functions. Specific designs are also achieved.The first section of this paper,combined with the environment of steel casting scene and the actual demand,the stystem adopted the image enhancement program and the feature extraction program.Contrast enhancement, image smoothing and image sharpening used in the slag detection system were theoretically elaborated in detail.Meanwhile,the feature extraction technique based on color, texture and shape features was minutely analyzed.Fina-lly, the imag eanalysis experiment were done by using on-site photos.The slag detection system based on image recognition the industrial-camera-based image acquisition system.Ethemet was used to gather control parameters and transmit video data.The system collected and transmetted the video images of molten steel surface of pouring bos through the camera.The detections software was used to judge whether the bale slag through timing crawls,enhancement,different methods of feature extraction and analysis Video images.Meanwhile, using the off-line image analysis function of the software analyszed the preserved image to optimize the prameters of the decision-making module.The second section of this paper,design an skimming automation system based on fuzzy control. In order to make steel liquid inflow into tundish automation system exactly to resolve the time-variable,non-linearity and long-time lags problems etc. improve the automation level of skimming automation,in this system,the fuzzy control technology is developed in skimming automation system.First,introducing the coming into being and developing of the fuzzy control technique and introducing its feature, the actuality of its research,future.Next,introducing how to design fuzzy controller,base theory and constitute, structure of fuzzy control and how to design normal fuzzy controller.Last expound the basic theory of controlling,take position difference value (windage) and position difference change value (windage change) as input value,motor action as output value,design method of fuzzy control.The emluating of matlab showed this article realized strong system,quick response,stable control process. The efficiency is apparent. At last the conclution of this paper is given,and give the prospect of this paper to future work.
