The cultural interaction between She and Hakka has attracted widely concern of history, ethnology, anthropology, linguistics, and other disciplines. On the basis of former studies, with the guide of theories and methods of ethnology, through the combination of historical documents and fieldwork, this article will review studies of cultural interaction of She and Hakka, refer to achievements of former scholars, rely on fieldwork in a village, observe and analyze cultural interaction of She and Hakka in Longling Village, so as to reveal historical facts and realistic situation of cultural interaction between She and Hakka and further discussion on culture of She and Hakka.The first chapter introduces the significance of topic, the history of cultural interaction of She and Hakka and research methods.Chapterâ…¡mainly introduces ecological environment and historical and cultural background of Longling Village Xiufeng Township, including brief introduction of Longling Village, origins of Hakka and She in Longling.Chapterâ…¢will review cultural interaction of She and Hakka in history so as to prove that in history the relationship between She and Han is convergence of two cultures, rather than replacing of one culture with another; and there exists a complex relationship. As Mr. Jiang Bingzhao, talking about forming course of Hakka, pointed out that in order to discuss formation of Hakka sub-ethnic group, we should study migration history of Han from Central Plain, cultural changes of local indigenous peoples and especially blending process of Han moved-in and local She. Based on fieldwork in Longling Village of Xiufeng Township, Chapter IV will talk about cultural interaction of Han and She from both the angles of material culture and spiritual culture, and distinguish which are influences of She on Hakka and which are influences of Hakka on She.Chapter V introduces historical and cultural background why interaction of She and Hakka came into being. There are mainly several interactions:first, interlacing settlements causes cultural interaction; second, intermarriage causes cultural interaction; third, rule of government causes cultural interaction.Last is the generation of this thesis. Because of influence of region, intermarriage, state governance and other facts, there exists close political, economical, and cultural communication and relation between She and Han; cultural interaction between She and Han is not one-way and they coexisted, promote each other, learn from each other, and mutually develop.
