With the acceleration of urbanization, a lot of farmers have left the agriculture industry and come into other various industries in cities, who have formed a large social group——the floating population. Among the group, the number of female migrants has covered more than 1/3. Their special identity characteristics and gender characteristics have already attracted extensive attention of the whole society. Therefore, research on this certain group has certain academic values and practical significances. This paper has selected a typical village—Xiao Jiahe in the city of Beijing as a case, in accordance with life course research paradigm, and taking the method of depth interview and participate observation, to analysis the life course events of the female migrants—education, marriage, fertility, work and social mobility. By taking the flow as one stage of the life course, the author has analyzed the causes and manners of their flow and has described the picture of their current living in the city. The author has especially discussed the internal and external influencing factors of self-development after their flowing into the city and the future development and prospects. It is of many reference values for improving their quality of life and adaptability to the reality of urban life. The time and the performance which the life course events occurred in female migrants are different, so they constitute the different sequences of life course and present different pictures of their survival. The interaction of their individual differences, life experiences and the changing environment has resulted in the behavior and the interrelated tension, including the adaption to the society and escape from the society. In the city, the female immigrants can be divided into a different division in the survival and the development. The author has concluded into four types:having both energy and wish; only having energy but no wish; only having wish but not realistic; having neither energy nor wish.Based on the theory of life course, the author has found that the life course events of female migrants are not completely chosen by the individual, but also influenced and controlled by the social environment which they have lived for a long time. The conclusion includes four parts:Firstly, the society is in a changing process, and the social development has many stages, such as the floating population policy which has three stages:opening, controlling and integrating, so they bring the different effects on the life course events of female migrant.Secondly, the life course events all have standard social time, and if the individual deviate from the time, it will bring the adverse social consequences. Particularly, the education and marriage of the female migrants have effected by the limited factors, and have even affected their development.Thirdly, the social network and social resources of the female migrants are scarcer, and their migrating showed more attachment and instability. The mentioned disadvantage is accumulating, which does harm to the future of both themselves and their next generation.Fourthly, there are a number of women developing better in this group. They play the initiative role in their development and try their best to achieve the value of lives. Therefore, the author puts forward some advice in the part of conclusion on promoting the development of the female migrants, such as providing opportunities of education and training, helping them to establish the right marriage view, love view and self-esteem awareness, and paying attentions to the education of the migrant children.
