Transformative learning refers to the study process that learners effected by trigger events, in the face of new learning task, through questioning, reflecting “distorted meaning views” and learning the new meaning views. The new generation of migrant workers is a new generation of the labor force grew up in spring tide of reforming and opening, they frequently social mobility and often face the new development tasks. The transformative learning is a common phenomenon in the new generation of migrant workers in the process of social mobility, the new generation of migrant workers in the effect of certain trigger events, their original knowledge skills, life style, values under the impact, under this influence, they need to make changes to the original structure of knowledge and skills, and living conditions, to achieve a reasonable social mobility. This paper focuses on the new generation of migrant workers which is a special population with Chinese characteristics as the research subject, with the use of literature research method, interview method, case study method etc, and try to qualitative research on the new generation of migrant workers’ transformative learning under the perceptive of social mobility. By selecting 8 individuals of the new generation of migrant workers for a period of 1 year of follow-up interviews, and ultimately selected 4 respondents as a case, makes a theoretical interpretation of their life stories.This paper is divided into five chapters, the first chapter is the introduction part of this article, mainly introduces the origin, purpose and meaning of this research, domestic and foreign research present situation, the definition of related concepts, research design, the innovation points of the article, the key and difficult aspects of research. The second chapter introduces the theory basis of this research, focuses on the social mobility theory and transformative learning theory. The third chapter formatting the case story of research subject by deep processing the research subjects’ interview data through interviews. The fourth chapter makes an deep analysis to the new generation of migrant workers’ transformative learning under the process of social mobility, from the dimensions of transformative learning stage, approach, characteristics, influence factors, in order to comprehensively understanding their transformative learning, and rising the research to the height of the combination of theory and practice. The fifth chapter based on the true case and their transformative learning process of the new generation of migrant workers, and put forward the specific strategies to promote the new generation of migrant workers’ transformative learning in the process of social mobility, from the aspects of the individuals of the new generation of migrant workers, employing units, family and other social environmental factors.
