As a new education concept, entrepreneurship education put forward the idea of cultivating a new generation with groundbreaking personality, which updated our education concept. At present, due to the influence of students'employment pressure, many independent institutes are trying to implement entrepreneurship education. However, since most independent colleges can not have a clear understanding of entrepreneurship education, they equate it with entrepreneurial skills training. This kind of behavior weakens the proper function of entrepreneurship education. So it is of vital importance to research how to implement entrepreneurship education in independent colleges.My research adopts empirical way, through self-designed questionnaire, investigating the implementation status of entrepreneurship education in Guangling Institute Yangzhou University to find out existing problems, then analyses what reasons they are. Then based on some proven entrepreneurship education theories and characteristics of independent colleges, my research put forward a new mode of implementing entrepreneurship education in independent institutes.The text is divided into five parts:the first part is introduction, which explains the research background and status of the topic and then expounds the significance of the research.The second part first explains the concept of entrepreneurship education, and distinguishes generalized and narrow sense entrepreneurship education from four different dimensions, then introduces the origin and development of entrepreneurship education in the world, and then summarizes the experience of other countries entrepreneurship education and then points out the main problems existing in our country. The third part starts from the importance of entrepreneurship education, indicating that implementing entrepreneurship education is the need of independent colleges' development, then analyses the feasibility of implementing enterpreneurship education from experience source,government guidance and characteristics of independent colleges.The fourth part is empirical research, by way of questionnaire, not only investigating the enterprise consciousness and demand of 600 students from different grades and majors of Guangling College Yangzhou University, but also investigating the implementation status of entrepreneurship education. The results manifest that there lie some problems in independent colleges'entrepreneurship education, such as goal orientation, curriculum system, education faculty etc.The fifth part is the core, based on the theories of entrepreneurship education, combining with my own understanding of entrepreneurship education, which proposes that independent colleges should target to cultivate students'enterprise quality, stimulate pioneering consciousness, develop enterprise psychological quality, enhance enterprise ability, form enterprise knowledge structure, then by creating a business education campus cultural atmosphere, constructing entrepreneurship education curriculum system, building entrepreneurship education faculty, innovating teaching methods, carrying out enterprise activities,reforming teaching management system, opening University student's pioneering work hatch etc, to implement entrepreneurship education.
