Early childhood education is an important component of the whloe educational system in China. With the advent of the knowledge economy and the intensification of social competition, peple value early childhood education reaching an unprecedented degree. In order to let children learn knowledge as much as possible, kindergarten education for children arises the phenomenon of excess. Over-education is a kind of educational activities beyond the children's fitness and the growing demand for comprehensive health. Such acts diverge from children's characteristics of physical and mental development and rules of education. It is bound to cause harm to the children and impede full development. Over-education is a common problem in kindergarten in China. Studyding it will contribute to providing a useful reference for building a scientific and rational system of early childhood education practice. And it aslo will make kindergarten abide by the educational law to promote the children's healthy and harmonious development.In the process of drafting, the author mainly uses the methods of documentary data and comparative analysis and observation to make intensive investigation. On the basis of obtaining a clearer understanding of concepts of Over-education and Early childhood education and Kindergarten education, the author solves the problem of defining and testing"degree". Through the study, the author finds the main performances of over-education in kindergarten are: education requirements are too much and high, curriculum is severely overloaded, contents of teaching are too far ahead of time, teaching methods are mechanical and indoctrinating. These performances are against the law of affordable education and progressive education and individualized education, against relevant regulations about Basic Education Curriculum Reform Program(Trial) and Kindergarten Education Guidance Program(Trial). And it brings about children negative impacts:damaging the physical health and making body weak, leading to lack of interest and resulting in emotional weariness, stifling initiative and creativity and resulting in one-sided development, bounding personality and sociability and destroying children's nature. The problem of over-education is produced under the social conditions on infiltration of utilitarianism into kindergarten education and extension of exam-oriented to kindergarten education and constraints of academic marxism to kindergarten education. And it is caused by containment of parents on kindergarten education, kindergarten's improper educational purpose and unclear understanding of their own functions and the low professional quality of teachers.Correcting and overcoming this problem needs the effort of whloe society. Kindergarten needs:correcting the purpose of running kindergarten, holding on the correct values; adhereing to a correct idea, following the scientific law of early childhood education; focusing on teachers' management trainings, improving the professional quality of teachers; strengthening the communication between kindergarten and chilren's parents, carrying on effective guidance for family. Chilren's parents need:strengthening self-learning, establishing a correct concept of education; maintaining a normal state of mind, reducing the high educational expectations. Government and education administration need:tightening the supervision of early childhood education, regularizing the bad behavior of running kindergarten; deeply popularizing knowledge of early childhood education, reforming the evaluation system of education.
