As the deepening of the curriculum leadership research, the main theme of the study is not confined to the single subject, but prefer to the curriculum leadership community. However, the understanding to the role and power of the heads of the teaching and research group is not in place, and the curriculum leadership of the heads of the teaching and research group did not receive sufficient attention, all these lead to head of the teaching and research group'not present'in the school curriculum leadership research. In view of this, it is necessary to explore the role of the heads of Teaching and Research Group on the school curriculum leadership.In this paper, I used literature research and interviews, through the interview of the heads of the Teaching and Research Group on the X primary school with certain theoretical upgrading preliminary summary of Teaching and Research Group leader long as the course of the five roles:the organizers of school-based curriculum development, promoter of teacher professional development, inspirer of awareness courses, advocator of teaching and research culture, pedagogical counselor.As a case, the head of Teaching and Research Group play these curriculum leadership roles X Primary School has its specific reasons. First of all, X has a unique primary human resources which provided support for the curriculum leadership of the heads of Teaching and Research Group. Second, the school's Teaching and Research Group provided organizational support. Again, Teaching and Research Group has a strong program leadership. Finally, school leaders provides a lot of support on the curriculum leadership of the heads of Teaching and Research Group.Be noted that, although there are a degree of "fit" between the work of the heads of the Teaching and Research Group and the basic concept of curriculum leadership, but the concept of "Curriculum Leadership" is still foreign to them. It can be said, the heads of Teaching and Research Group are not clear to their roles. The heads of Teaching and Research Group faces some challenges in curriculum leadership. In particular, the challenges can be attributed to four areas:lack of professional knowledge of curriculum leadership, the subject Teaching and Research Group, Teaching and Research Group chief wear so many hats in the curriculum development on a relatively small investment of time, the lack of training for the heads of Teaching and Research Group. The heads of Teaching and Research Group do not have enough knowledge on these issues. If the problems are not resolved, that will affect the quality of the school curriculum leadership and also is not conducive to the implementation of curriculum leadership of the heads of Teaching and Research Group. In order to improve the curriculum leadership of the heads of Teaching and Research Group, the author proposes some preliminary recommendations. First, enhance the curriculum leadership knowledge of the heads of Teaching and Research Group; Second, Empowering to the heads of Teaching and Research Group; Third, formation of the school curriculum development organization.
